Five steps. Zero shortcuts.
Every Source 4 project — from a single bedroom to a thirty-thousand-square-foot commercial buildout — follows the same five-step process. The process is deliberate, transparent and exists for one reason: it consistently produces a finish that outlasts the warranty.
On-site consultation
We visit your property at a time that suits you. We listen carefully to what you want, measure every surface that will be coated, identify any repairs that need to happen before painting, and discuss colour, sheen and timing. The consultation is free, unhurried, and carries no obligation.
Written estimate
Within 48 hours of the consultation you receive a written, line-itemed estimate by email. The estimate covers materials, labour, surface preparation, primer and topcoats, sheen, expected timeline and any options you asked us to price. The number you see is the number you pay, barring scope changes you approve in writing.
Scheduling & preparation
Once you approve, we schedule your project and order materials. On day one we arrive on time, in marked vehicles, in clean uniforms. We protect floors with canvas drop cloths, mask trim, fixtures, hardware and adjacent surfaces, and address every nail-pop, crack and dent that needs filling before the first coat goes on.
Priming & application
Bare or repaired substrates are primed with a product suited to the surface. Topcoats are applied by brush, roller or HVLP spray depending on the substrate and finish required. Most interior work receives two finish coats. Most exterior work receives two to three. We work in dust-controlled, ventilated conditions and clean tools and area at the end of every day.
Walk-through & warranty
When the work is complete, {BRAND['owner']} walks the entire project with you. We inspect every surface together in daylight. Any touch-ups are completed on the spot. Only then is the job invoiced. Your warranty paperwork — two years on interior workmanship — is delivered with the final invoice.
The boring parts are where the quality lives.
60% prep
On average, sixty percent of our hours on a project go to surface preparation. Sanding, patching, caulking, masking and priming are the difference between a five-year finish and a fifteen-year finish.
Owner on site
Michael Burns is on every job, every day. Quality decisions are made by the person whose name is on the door, not by a foreman trying to hit a margin.
One crew, one project
We do not split crews across multiple jobs. Whoever starts your project finishes your project. Consistency is impossible without continuity.
